In the framework of the European project HORIZON 2020 EcoScope, which aims to promote effective, efficient and ecosystem based fisheries management, the research team of the Laboratory of Fish Biology, Department of Biology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, carried out in June, in the National Marine Park of Alonissos, North Sporades, sampling with BRUVS, which are cameras with lures that attract marine organisms.
The samples taken were the second, after the first ones in April, and two more will be taken (October and January) in order to have data from all seasons of the year. The Thalassa Foundation has been a valuable help in this effort, providing the Neris conservation vessel, its crew and fuel for the visits of the researchers to the Marine Park.
