The long-standing request of the people of Alonissos, to see and get to know the Alonissos Marine Park, has finally become a reality! The free educational “cruises” for residents of Alonissos, with the boat Nereis of the Thalassa Foundation, were inaugurated with great success and the participation of students of the Evening High School of Alonissos and residents of the island. All the participants were thrilled by the unparalleled beauty of the N.M.P.A.N.S., which they visited for the first time, but also by everything they learned about the rare species found in the area, through a discussion with the crew and printed information material. The educational “cruises” will continue, as soon as the weather conditions allow.
