One day, two great events for Thalassa Foundation

On May 12, Thalassa Foundation, represented by its Vice President, Vera Alexandropoulou, participated in two very important events, subjects of which were critical environmental and socio-economic issues of our time. These were the Delphi Economic Forum and the WISTA Hellas event, under the title Hellenic Initiatives for Clean Seas. In particular, at the Delphi Economic Forum, Ms. Alexandropoulou participated in the panel “SUSTAINABILITY: IS IT FINALLY MAINSTREAM?” together with Mrs. Maria Alexiou, Chairman of the Board of CSR Hellas / Director of Corporate Social Responsibility of the TITAN Group of Companies, Mr. Vassilis Grigoriou, President and CEO of Advent Technologies and Mr. Costas Kartalis, Professor of Environmental Physics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, while the discussion was moderated by Dr. Angeliki Kosmopoulou, Executive Director of the Laskaridis Foundation. The discussion revolved around the adaptation of the economic area to the principles of sustainability and ESG and the prospects that open up based on these new facts. Later the same day, Ms. Alexandropoulou, through her presentation at the Hellenic Initiatives for Clean Seas event, described the actions implemented by the Thalassa Foundation over the years in Alonissos that have contributed to the preservation of the Marine Park and the economic self-sufficiency of the island. The discussion was also attended by Dr. Aggeliki Kosmopoulou, Executive Director of the Laskaridis Foundation, Ms. Suzana Laskaridis, Founder and Director of the Blue Cycle, and Anastasia Miliou, Scientific Director of Hydrobiology, Institute of Marine Conservation and Ms. Semiramis Paliou President of the Administrative Board of Helmepa.
