The Thalassa Foundation is organizing a First Aid to Wildlife Seminar on Wednesday 30 October, at the Management Unit of the Sporades National Park of NECCA, at Patitiri Alonissos.
The initiative is being implemented thanks to the cooperation and selfless contribution of the environmental organisations ARION, ARCHELON, ACT FOR WILD LIFE and MOM which will carry out the relevant training sessions. More specifically, ARION will focus on marine cetaceans, ARCHELON on sea turtles, ACTION FOR WILD LIFE on land birds, mammals, reptiles and seabirds, and MOm on the Mediterranean seal.
The event will be implemented in two distinct parts – first for veterinarians and then for concerned citizens and stakeholders in the area (Management Unit, Port Station, etc.).
The seminar was chosen to take place in one of the most important protected areas of the country, which hosts many different terrestrial and marine species and therefore there is an urgent need to develop tools and methodologies for its protection.
